Express Migraine to Congress!
Anyone can contact their senators or representatives anytime to promote awareness and funding for migraine research and treatment!
Members of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, which oversees the National Institutes of Health, are especially important regarding migraine hearings in Congress and impacting the progress of migraine research. So you can target a member of that committee or your own Senator or Representative.
See letter page for a sample letter, and you are welcome to copy and paste appropriate parts from the letter when you write to your Congress person.
Momentum for Migraine is building, more media stories are appearing, and the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy’s (AHDA) annual Headache on the Hill event as well as the petition drive for Congressional hearings are ongoing. With the health care debate raging and migraine’s recent media coverage, this is a good time to let Congress know how how much attention and funding we need.

I wanted to publish a book of written and visual art, creative expressions of people who live with migraine, to help promote awareness and understanding of it. The book is done. Now I want to talk about it, feature some of the work, writers and artists, and provide a place for anyone with an interest in the book, migraine, other chronic pain issues, art, poetry, essays, photography, publishing, health and advocacy issues, and maybe even a sprinkling of current events and politics, to connect. Welcome to this migraine and life journey!
