Congress & Migraine

Express Migraine to Congress!

Anyone can purchase a book for a member of Congress to promote awareness and migraine research! Just make a note in the PayPal purchase form which member of Congress you would like to receive your book. Use your address but book will be sent to your Congress person in Washington, DC.

AND for every book sold in this campaign, we will donate $1 to the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy. So your purchase can have a dual impact!

Members of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, which oversees the National Institutes of Health, are listed below. So you can target a member of that committee or send a book to your own Senator or Representative.

Each recipient’s name or district will appear in blue as they’re chosen so we won’t duplicate efforts.

I’ll include a letter with your name, address and purpose of the book, or you can write your own letter and e-mail it to me for inclusion. See letter page for sample cover letter, and if you wish to contact your Congress members via the links provided, you are welcome to copy and paste appropriate parts from the letter.

Momentum for Migraine is building, more media stories are appearing, and Teri Robert has mentioned the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy’s (AHDA) next Headache on the Hill event. With the health care debate raging and Cindy McCain in the fray for migraine, this is a good time to let Congress know how how much attention and funding we need.

Thank you so much for all you do for migraine understanding and advocacy!
